In this article, we will define:
An AI model is a mathematical framework designed to learn from data and perform specific tasks, such as classification, prediction, or generation. In the context of generative AI, the AI model is trained to generate new data that resembles a given set of input data. For example, a generative AI model can be trained to generate new images of faces, animals, or landscapes based on a set of existing images—which is what the numerous models in the Realm app, like StableDiffusion, Deliberate, Protogen, and OpenJourney do!
In text-to-image applications, the AI model is specifically designed to generate images from textual descriptions. The model is trained on a dataset of paired images and text, where each image is associated with a textual description of its content. The AI model then learns to map the textual descriptions to corresponding images, so that it can generate new images based on new textual inputs.
A personal AI model means that instead of being trained on preexisting photos, it is trained on the information that you, the user, provides your model with. For example, in Realm, that looks like selfies…lots and lots of selfies.
Great question! You can find your personal AI model in the My AI tab in the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen. There, you can explore various cards that share things like your Daily Digital Portrait. To train your model, just click on the “Enhance My AI” button! You can see how strong your AI model is based on Realm’s internal model ranking system out of 1000 points.
As you can see below, our marketer, Ellen, may be good at writing posts for Realm…but not nearly as skilled when it comes to training her model (at least not yet! She’s getting there).
Fortunately, the fix is simple: all she needs to do is keep uploading as many clear pictures of her face as possible. Try different poses, lightings, and backgrounds to help your AI get smarter and produce higher quality images!
You can upload upload images directly from your camera roll or take selfies right in the app. Be sure to train your model as often as possible—there is a wait time while your model is learning, so patience is also important.
Woo-hoo! Congrats on training your model. Using it is as simple as choosing “Your own AI model” from the dropdwon when you create a new post and adding “me” to your prompt! For example, you could say:
We hope this article helps! Now, go and train your personal model…onwards!
